WANTED: Coraline Duvall

Coraline Duvall is Mick St. John’s ex wife. She also turned Mick into a vampire back in the 50’s. By the 80’s their marriage is on the rocks and ends when she kidnaps Beth Turner. Coraline planned on turning 4-year-old Beth into a vampire in an effort to give Mick the family he’s always wanted (and also keep him from leaving her). Unknown to her, Mick was hired by Beth’s mother to find her daughter. Mick tracks down the missing child and her kidnapper and makes it very clear to Coraline she will not be turning or keeping Beth. They fight and Mick stakes her and burns the house down with Coraline in it. Up until 2008 Mick believed her dead.

She was turned sometime before the French Revolution and by a cousin of of King Louis the Sixteenth. She is one of seven vampire siblings of a very old aristocratic vampire “family”. Of her siblings, it is believed that only she and her brother Lance still live. During the 18th century the French citizenry had discovered the existance of vampires and revolted. During the Reign of Terror these vampire nobles were hunted down and beheaded. To pass as human and escape the guillotine, Coraline’s bloodline developed the Mortal Cure. It is an organic compound of native plants that makes vampires temporarily human. Each dose can last around six months. Some of the plants used to make the “cure” have gone extinct and there is only a small amount left.

Coraline returned to L.A. in 2007 as “Morgan” a human photographer. She does her best to befriend Beth and seduce Mick as Morgan but eventually her real identity is found out. An enraged Beth stakes her and nearly kills her permanently. While she’s recovering in the hospital her human guise crumbles and she turns back into a vampire. She escapes the hospital to a lab where she and another vampire are trying to synthesize the “cure” by cloning the extinct plants used in the original compound. She’s hiding out because she’s being hunted by her “brother” Lance and his henchman. She’s in deep trouble with the rest of her vampire “family” for stealing their secret “Mortal Cure” in her latest effort to win back her ex-husband, Mick. Both Lance and Mick track her to the lab and she manages to escape again while they’re fighting (after the lab catches fire and her lab partner is beheaded by Lance). Eventually, Coraline tells Mick about how and where the cure came from and gives him a dose. Shortly afterwards she’s hunted down and captured by Lance and his henchman and returned to their Sire in France.

Josef Kostan (a.k.a. Charles Fitzgerald) is a 400 year-old vampire living in Los Angeles. He is portrayed by Jason Dohring. Josef’s personality is laid back and easy going. He’s sarcastic and witty, a playboy, and Mick St. John’s best friend. He’s a hedge funder and CEO of Kostan Industries. He, unlike Mick, doesn’t get his blood from the morgue but fresh from the vein. He’s not ashamed of what he is and doesn’t see the need to hide the fact that he kills people.

Although he comes off as an uncaring, sarcastic playboy, it’s all just for show. Josef is actually very caring underneath the mask he wears. The scene where he shows Mick and Beth the unconcious Sarah is proof of this. He blames himself for what happened to her and feels guilty about it all the time.

After Josh’s death, Beth felt the need to stay away from Mick for awhile. Not because she blamed him for wanting to Transform him, but mostly because she needed to figure out her feelings. Everything was confusing. The blonde girl perfectly knew that she had feelings for the vampire, though she couldn’t help but feel guilty: Josh, her lovely boyfriend who loved her more than anything, had just died and she couldn’t stop thinking about Mick. It wasn’t fair to them both. That day she woke up early – well.. Not really woke up since she actually didn’t sleep very much, but still – and decided to make herself a coffee. Hitting the button on the kettle, Beth went over and looked out the living room window: it was a beautiful early Sunday morning in Los Angeles.

After a few seconds she looked down at her hand and sighed a bit, starting to play with Josh’s ring. She bit down on her bottom lip and took a deep breath; no, it wasn’t going to be easy but she knew that now everything was going to be okay. She wasn’t in love with Josh anymore, she really knew that and now that he was dead, she could live her life maybe feeling a little bit less guilty. The sound of the kettle broke Beth from her thoughts and she made her way around the counter into the kitchen and pulled out a mug and made herself a drink before heading back over the living room, sipping her coffee.

She sat down on the couch and after taking a small sip of her coffee, she left the mug on the table and took her phone. She wanted to call Mick, she needed to hear his voice for at least a minute or so but how she could do that? She couldn’t call him and tell him that. She needed a reason. She shook her head and turned on the TV, watching the news and trying to think about something else.

Beth Turner is 27 and currently works for Ben Talbot the D.A. Her previous boyfriend, Josh, died after being shot and is still slowly recovering. Beth used to work for Buzz Wire where she worked as the star Journalist. She loves being a reporter and any story that doesn’t involve fluff is the best story. Back when Beth was 4, she was kidnapped by Coraline, Mick’s wife. Before Coraline could turn her into a vampire, Mick stopped her and saved her. Beth constantly calls Mick her guardian angel and can’t thank him enough. During the first season, Mick and Beth constantly work together on cases and always end up running into each other. The two of them eventually start dating, but never actually say their true feelings for each other. At the end of Season 1, Mick and Beth finally admit their feelings for each other, but the question is, What happned?

Shortly after finding out she is pregnant, Beth is kidnapped. Mick sets out to find her, without knowing that he is the father of the baby Beth is carrying. Mick soon finds her and Mick remains on alert from whoever took her. While Mick stays at Beth’s, Beth attempts to tell him about the baby numerous times, but never actually gets the chance to tell him. Beth isn’t sure if the baby is half human and half vampire, but one thing she knows for sure is that the baby is Mick’s. With a baby and Beth’s kidnappers on the lookout for her, this leads to lots of drama.

Shortly after a mysterious someone made a list of all the vampires in Los Angeles, life has surprisingly been very normal for Mick and Beth. Even though they had a great night after admitting their true feelings to each other, they have not spoken for so long that it has gotten them quite anxious as to see who will call the other first or go to whose apartment first. Its more like a game. The two of them still firmly believe the relationship could possibly work out; they just don’t know if they other truly still believes in the same things as them.

The two love birds are completely in tune to one another that they have totally missed that Talbot and maybe even a few others have the list of vampires. The list puts Mick, Josef, and many other vamps in danger. Strange things begin to happen to both Josef and Mick and it takes them a while to notice this, until one of them makes the connection when Talbot brings it to Beth’s attention. Talbot is clueless, but has one of his possibilities as it being a list of vampires. This could lead to an ultimate downfall, but its questionable.

Not sure how this will work with everything. If anyone can think of anything else to add message me!

He would leave and she would take solace in her own company. She felt a burning pain within her chest, courtesy of her blood oath, but more so, of her own disappointment of what transpired between Jamie and her. It went from two nights of what seemed to be a hunger for him, into a quiet acceptance of knowing he would walk away and she would not fight it.

Never had she stopped herself from fighting for possession, but the man made himself clear on what he wanted. Something, she could not give to him when she barely knew him. Yet, he gave her enough to see that fighting would only end up with her flinging goblets or keeping more of his bloodied clothing hidden away in her drawers. No, there were times when a woman could only watch what she wanted slip through her fingers and move on with her life.

This is what she told herself as she walked to the kitchen, retrieved her blood wine, and went about pouring herself a glass. As soon as he left, she would return back to her garden, go about her life, and keep herself as detached as she always was with individuals whom she saw as grime beneath her shoes.

She would be polite as Hezubah and would be political to keep the peace, but a good drink from the bottle Raven brought would help ease her own disgust at hungering for someone who would only provoke her into fighting with him every hour of every day. Many things she told herself, enough not to realize his presence behind her.

Her hands which held the wine glass were extracted from the stem and held in his hands. The Countess hissed at the touch of the man who had surely pushed and provoked her, but had held and given her what she asked for; his body and fidelity. He wanted to give her fidelity, to give himself to her wholly and surely. She wanted it from him for he would be one of the few to have for her own. The Countess had come to learn and accept even human possession would seek out others, but Jamie, wanted only her.

The Countess closed her eyes against the sensations her body felt, her skin flaring and tightening in anticipation of what he would do next. The kiss to her palm brought a shiver to her spine even as her body told her to throw herself back and slam him towards the ground. It was her protective instincts, but she pressed it down for a little while. Just a little while to feel his arms wrap around her and pull her back to his chest. The Countess turned her head away, her chest constricting even more to the point of snapping in half if she did not feign a human breath.

He had not left.

He had stayed.

Such knowledge brought her to speak the words she had not said to him the first time he walked away.

“Stay with me.”

Sarah Whitely was Josef’s one true love back in the early 1900s. After spending some time with Josef and finding out that he is a vampire, she demands to be turned. Josef is hesitant to do this, but does it anyway for a chance at eternal love. Once Josef attempts to turn her, something goes terribly wrong and Sarah dies in the process. Trying to find someway to keep her alive, Josef keeps her locked away from her father and puts her in a coma. She remains this way still and has not woken up.
